A Luxurious Sanctuary with an updated oriental appeal….that was the brief.

The owner of this tiny apartment had grand ideas of coming home to a luxury boutique hotel where she could feel relaxed and pampered. This was her first experience with an interior designer and I was determined to make sure her dream apartment was possible for the tiny space. After finalising the mood board and the layout, we had 2 months to complete the job.

Some structural changes were involved to maximise space. The focus was the Kitchen. She liked to entertain and the Living Room/Kitchen space should include a bar. She wanted to impress her guests. We also needed to maximise storage space. The original space was basic, very white and dated. So everything had to go.

A deep dark Wenge coloured veneer was chosen as the base to give a sophisticated feel throughout the apartment.

The Bar style Kitchen provided dining and entertainment space…. also the main feature of the apartment. Mirrored cabinet doors and long unbroken lines visually expanded the space while providing hidden storage. This was a perfect example of quality over quantity. Understated and high quality fixtures chosen gave a subtle sense of quiet elegance. Reflecting the personality of the owner.
